Newport School District continues to provide our students with experiences to expose them to many career opportunities and develop employability skills. The middle school has partnered with Junior Achievement of South Central PA, for The YES! program. Junior Achievement provides all their programs for free.
On Thursday, October 3rd, during the school day, community and parent volunteers will provide all middle school students hands-on, interactive learning workshops that expose them to career readiness, entrepreneurship & personal finance related activities. This allows them to begin thinking about the importance their education, career, and financial decisions will have on their lives as young adults.
We are excited to provide this opportunity to our students and encourage guardians to discuss the experience and share your own career journey.
Thank you,
Mr. Rehmeyer, Mrs. Shevlin, Mrs. Smith and the entire Middle School Staff
